which do you do first? run then lift, or vice versa? what about on leg day?
flush 6/13/2018 3:43:54 AM
first i run to the ice cream truck, and then i lift the ice cream into my mouth hole
easyhateoven 6/13/2018 7:43:18 AM
i run before i lift, even on leg day. im an animal. i hear youre not supposed to do that, but fck it. i also split up my leg day exercises with other days so im not overloading on one day. i have lower back and knee problems, so this works for me.
easyhateoven 6/13/2018 7:43:39 AM
also, why did you post this at 330am? dang

Responding genuinely to the fake mummified circuitry at 3am on a weekday

Youre in a good place.
toot_toot 6/13/2018 9:48:29 AM
Why would ever run before lifting?
easyhateoven 6/13/2018 9:49:31 AM
i like a nice warm up run to get me going, man. i only run for 8 minutes or so. i like a nice mile run before a workout
toot_toot 6/13/2018 9:52:22 AM
So....stretch

By running before lifting you're exerting energy you should should be using to lift the weights. It's counterproductive
spaceghhost 6/13/2018 9:59:35 AM
I don't run. I just to kettle bell swings to get the heart thumping.
easyhateoven 6/13/2018 10:09:32 AM
true. that does make sense. i just got into a bad habit of doing it before like a dumbass.

I hate running. Unless its on the beach or through the woods or trails.

If you cant stand on one leg and do squats or deadlifts via 1 leg I think you should not be doing any type of heavy squats or maxing out on deadlifts. You will get so much stronger and have more dynamic strength if you master 1 legged mass movement patterns, barefoot!!!

are you talking along the lines of pistols with dumbells?
Rick____tocchet 6/13/2018 4:40:33 PM
Everytime i see someone do pistols they fall to the ground with 1 leg and then jump up. So they are doing nothing as far as workload, its all just gravity and momentum. You need total control of the movement up and down. Yeah man 1 legged squats. Start by doing it with a bench, sit down as slow as you can via 1 leg and try getting up with 1 leg too. You are going to want to fall down and back while going down and you are going to want to jump out off of the bench. You have to bring your nipples to your knees while doing it but keeping an erect spine. Its super tough when you do it right.

Also 1 legged step ups nice, slow and controlled is very difficult as well. Try squeezing your glute as hard as you can while performing the exercise. I get sore everytime i do them.

my friend has tattoos of pistols on his stomach. he showed me the other day. I was like "really, man?"
