Although teetering on the edge of hardcore, emo, and mainstream rock, one cannot deny that Long Island's Glassjaw is an emotional band. Catching the ear of producer Ross Robinson (who has worked with the likes of Korn, Limp Bizkit, Slipknot, as well as running his imprint label, IAM) via a demo tape, the producer quickly signed Glassjaw onto the Roadrunner/IAM roster. From that point, the band would spend the next two months in California working on its debut full-length for Roadrunner/IAM, "Everything You Ever Wanted To Know About Silence." In late-2001, Glassjaw parted ways with Roadrunner, and signed with Warner Brothers Records in early-2002, releasing their WB debut, "Worship And Tribute," later that year. With an indescribable sound that conveys honesty, emotion, and anger, open-minded listeners should give Glassjaw a chance. hide
