Philadelphia's Turmoil began 1992 among five teens trying to kill boredom and time by holding jam sessions together. In time, they would realize the potential of their music and ideas, and thus Turmoil was formed. The young band recorded a six-song demo within a few months, and started to gain notoriety around the East coast thanks to their live shows. Soon after, Turmoil would land a place on Century Media Records, releasing its "Who Says Time Heals All Wounds?" CDEP (1994) in Europe. The band's debut full-length, "From Bleeding Hands," would be available worldwide in 1996. In 1997, Turmoil would record for new tracks for its "Anchor" 7" (the 7" would later become a full-length, including the band's older material), and 1999 would bring the band's final effort before disbanding circa 2000, "The Process Of." Throughout Turmoil's career, the band would grow its zealous fanbase by constantly touring, and sharing the stage with other hardcore acts, such as Agnostic Front, Brutal Truth, Snapcase, and Today is the Day. Crossing the boundaries of hardcore and metal, Turmoil created discordant music with various complex riffing and pummeling rhythms. Members of Turmoil can now be found in The Kiss Of Death and The Deadly. hide
